Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 July 2026

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Rinat Galiev (“we”, “us”), the operator of Soundlane (soundlane.app). By using Soundlane you accept these terms; if you do not agree with them, please do not use the service. Contact: [email protected].

2. The service

Soundlane is a browser rhythm game and trainer for real guitar: you import Guitar Pro tabs and play them on your instrument while the app listens through the microphone and scores your playing. The service is currently free. It is under active development, and its features may change, be added or be removed at any time.

3. Using Soundlane

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Soundlane in your browser. You agree not to misuse the service — for example, not to disrupt or overload it, not to attempt unauthorised access to its infrastructure, and not to use it for anything unlawful.

4. Your files

Tab files you import are processed and stored locally on your device; they are not uploaded to us and remain yours. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use the files you import — musical works and their transcriptions may be protected by copyright.

5. Our intellectual property

The Soundlane name, logo, software and design are owned by the operator. Soundlane also includes third-party open-source components used under their respective licences. Nothing in these terms grants you rights to the Soundlane brand or code beyond normal use of the service.

6. Donations and future paid features

Soundlane is free. Voluntary donations via platforms such as Boosty or Patreon are processed by those platforms under their own terms; they are not payments for the service and do not create any entitlement to features. If paid features are introduced in the future, they will come with their own terms, communicated in advance.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Soundlane is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Note recognition depends on your instrument, microphone and environment, and may be imperfect. Please mind your volume levels when playing along — protect your ears and your speakers.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your mandatory rights as a consumer in your country of residence.

9. Changes and termination

We may modify, suspend or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, at any time. We may update these terms; the current version with its date is always published on this page, and your continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Final provisions

If any part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest remains in effect. Questions: [email protected].
